Mr. Lee has been responsible for the structural design and project administration for large-scale building structures, including institutional structures, high-rise commercial buildings, hotels, and entertainment facilities. His responsibilities include primary client contact, selection and design of structural systems, direction of construction document preparation, and construction administration.
In addition to his experience in structural design, Mr. Lee has extensive experience in the evaluation of earthquake safety of structures, and he has directed numerous projects investigating the seismic behavior of structures. These projects involved developing seismic loading criteria, performing earthquake engineering analysis, and preparing construction documents for seismic mitigation work when required. He has also had much experience and particular personal interest in the area of restoration and seismic rehabilitation of buildings.
Mr. Lee holds a Masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California, with a specific focus on Structural Engineering. He has continued to advance his studies after Graduate school at the University of Southern California’s School of Engineering. He was an instructor of undergraduate concrete and steel structure engineering courses at the Dept. of Architectural Engineering, Hanyang University and Gunkook University, as well as teaching at the Dong-Yang Technical College in Korea as an Assistant Professor of Architectural Engineering. He currently resides in Southern California, where he is a registered Civil and Structural Engineer in California and Korea.
